Join us as we set deep intentions (Sankalpa) for the new year. The difference between Sankalpa and Resolution is a Resolution is a superficial affirmation. We tell ourselves I want and then forget. Yogic techniques enable us to penetrate the subconscious mind so without consciously knowing it we will always be attracted to and reaching out for our intention. Yogis know how to tap into the abundance of the universe and Amanda will show you how in this two hour workshop.

We will begin with specific Restorative Yoga Postures and guided deep relaxation meditation practices (yoga nidra) to purify and open the energy channels in the body. Then, using ancient yogic breathing techniques to wake up our prana (our vital life energy) we will connect to the divine within, awakening our intuition. Puja ceremony will follow. After guided contemplation of one's current life and situation we explore where we are leaking our energy and what we have to let go of for the new year and send it into the flame. Creating our Sankalpa all participants will be transported into a place of deep peace- closing our practice with mantra and meditation and sealing in our intention for our lives.

Please bring a notebook and pen. Wear comfortable clothing.

Restorative Yoga & Massage Workshop

Holiday Restorative Yoga & Massage Workshop
Give yourself some love this holiday season

A nourishing experience of a yoga practice designed to relax, renew and restore the body, mind and spirit.

Sunday, December 18 3PM – 5PM
Revolution Yoga Rockville Centre Location
7 North Village Ave. Rockville Centre, NY

Price: $35 to register in advance/ $40 day of workshop

(Call to register early as this workshop fills up quickly!)

Before the madness of the holiday season begins, give yourself time to relax and learn how to unwind your body as you recline on bolsters and props. Be prepared to lose track of time, breathe deeply and let go of the outside world, allowing the mind and nervous system to slow down. Evangeline will guide you through a series of delightful stretches, restorative poses and a simple guided meditation called Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep. This is a great practice for everyone including those recovering from illness.

For an added special treat and as you linger peacefully in well-supported poses, you will receive gentle acupressure from Amanda with the aroma of essential oils. It involves placing physical pressure by hand on pressure points of the feet to bring about relief and greater balance and circulation of fluids and metabolic energies in the body.  You will leave feeling connected to everything as the mind calms and the heart softens.

This workshop will focus on the heart center, In yogic philosophy it is known as
Anahata Chakra. It is the seat of our intuition which represents unconditional love and loving for no reason. As you move through the poses, you will begin to release blocked energy as you relax into a sense of spaciousness and open heartedness.
